Ponder Thoreau: November 12, 1859

A little Henry David Thoreau to ponder . . . written in his journal on November 12, 1859:
"I do not know how to distinguish between our waking life and a dream. Are we not always living the life that we imagine we are?"

That's a very interesting and insightful statement. We do very much make our own reality, a world of our imagining. Our perception of the world is colored by our beliefs and our experiences. How we perceive the world is our individual reality. My reality is not quite the same as yours. We could watch the exact same event and have completely different interpretations of it. Some of us live more in a dream world than others, but for each of us that is our reality.

Marie--

I agree. And if you want to really boggle your mind . . . read up on what scientists are learning at the quantum level of physics (this is WAY over my head but with help from writers & programs who bring it down to my level I can get an idea). The recent NOVA series titled "The Fabric of the Cosmos" is mind boggling. We certainly influence our reality through consciousness.
